Invitiamo tutti a dirci se Mark si sente happy, sad, excited o angry

verificando i vocaboli legati ai sentimenti e alle emozioni che ricor-
dano. Facciamo quindi completare a voce la frase “Mark feels…

because he’s in a new school” con le emozioni emerse.

Mostriamo nuovamente la figura n. 1 e proponiamo alla classe

di nominare gli indumenti che Mark indossa e ciò che ha sul vas-

soio appena preso in mensa.

A questo punto possiamo distribuire e far svolgere le schede n.

1 (reading) e n. 2 (listening). Per la seconda, che testa la com-

prensione in ascolto, leggiamo i seguenti brani (il testo A per la

prima consegna, il testo B per la seconda).

Testo A
Mark is at school. Today he is having lunch in the canteen together

with his new friends for the first time. He’s really excited and…

hungry! He likes meatballs, cheese, chips and orange juice. He

doesn’t like chicken, vegetables, salad and apples.

Testo B
Mark is with his new friends in the park after lunch. Mark and two

boys like ice cream. A girl doesn’t like ice cream. She likes fruit

juice.
