        1. Humans and other animals need to breathe but they do it in
           different ways. Human beings and most of the land animals breathe

           through lungs. They take in the air through the nose and the
                                                                  mouth. The air reaches the

                                                                  wind pipe (trachea). In the

                                                                  extract oxygen from the air. The

                                                                  blood transports the oxygen
                                                                  all over the body and collects

                                                                  when animals breathe out.

           Try to make a list of animals that breathe through lungs. Can you

          2. Fish and other water animals breathe air dissolved in water. They
           can do that through gills which are full of blood vessels. They take
